Sound masking
An open floor at Ace Hardware was losing focus to every nearby conversation. We measured the space and designed sound masking around its layout. Distractions dropped.

Sound masking for offices where everyone hears everything
DCMM designs and installs sound masking systems for open offices, law firms, and clinics. We assess the acoustics, zone the system to your layout, and tune it until nearby speech fades into the background. Law firms and clinics buy it for confidentiality. Open floors buy it for focus.
Without it, speech carries. The sales call three desks over lands in the middle of HR’s review. The numbers discussed in a conference room reach the hallway with the door shut. People end up taking the conversations that matter to the stairwell or the parking lot.
Ace Hardware had the same problem
People across Ace Hardware’s open office were losing stretches of the day to the conversations around them. We ran an acoustic assessment of the floor, designed the masking layout around how the office was arranged, and installed the system over the infrastructure already in place. Distractions dropped, focus held, and the install landed on time and on budget.
Your project gets the same sequence, down to the finish-line test: stand three desks from a normal conversation and try to follow it. You shouldn’t be able to.
Zoned to how each area works
An HR suite doesn’t run at the same level as an open sales floor. We zone the system to your floor plan and set each zone for how that area gets used. No single level fits a whole office.
Hardware you stop noticing
Digital masking generators shape a low hum around the frequencies of human speech, which is why a quiet system covers conversation better than a loud radio ever could. The speakers sit in the ceiling and disappear into it. Levels adjust over the network, no ladder required.
Installed around the workday, measured after
Installation fits around office hours instead of clearing the floor. Once the system is live, we measure every zone against the design target and document the final levels. When desks move or walls go in, we retune the zones instead of ripping anything out.
Tuned right, sound masking is nothing you notice: just a quieter room.
