Immersive experience design for lobbies, retail floors, and exhibit halls

DCMM designs and builds immersive experiences: projection mapping, interactive installations, dynamic lighting and soundscapes, and the custom content that runs on them. The goal is simple to state and hard to fake: a visitor walks into your space and stops to look.

Most spaces never get that look. Visitors cross the room with their eyes on the exit sign or their phone, and by the far door they could not describe a single wall they passed.

Built to stop a visitor in the first thirty seconds

We design the first thirty seconds deliberately. Sensor triggers and content cues are mapped to the exact path a visitor walks: motion at the threshold, a floor that responds to footsteps, a wall that fills with color and motion as they pass. Then we test that path with someone who has never seen the room, not the person who built it. The test that matters is whether a stranger stops walking. Six months in, the content library is still rotating, so a visitor on their third trip sees something the first visitor didn’t.

Interactive installations

  • Projection mapped surface by surface, turning a wall or a floor into the display itself
  • Sensors that react to motion and touch inside a beat of a visitor’s movement, with gesture control where the layout invites it
  • Augmented and virtual reality layered in only where it earns its keep
  • A path through the space that pulls a visitor from one moment to the next

Environmental design

  • LED walls and lighting fixtures run off one show file, so color and video change together
  • Soundscapes built for the room’s actual acoustics
  • Lighting cues that shift with a visitor’s position, tracked live instead of looped on a timer

Content and integration

  • Content built from your brand’s own footage and story
  • Live data feeds and social content pulled onto the walls when the install calls for it
  • Hardware and software running on one control system, so an update doesn’t require a truck roll

Support after launch

  • Staff trained on the control system before we leave the site
  • Scheduled maintenance that catches a failing sensor before a visitor notices the lag
  • New content loaded on a rotation, so a repeat visitor sees something new

The measure of the project is simple: visitors stop, look, and remember the room.
