Overnight freight and sleeping barrels

Most of what Louisville needs watched happens in the dark. The network underneath gets sized to the recording load, because a camera that drops frames overnight is a camera in name only. When a supervisor asks what crossed the yard at 3 a.m., the answer comes off a phone: flagged motion, time-stamped, from any facility in the system. Nobody scrubs eight silent hours.

Surveys get booked around shift changes or tour hours, whichever governs the building, and nothing gets mounted before you’ve signed the coverage plan. One crew handles every facility in the project, so the rickhouse cameras and the dock cameras behave the same way. Same hands built both. After go-live, alerts and footage are handled remotely, and when hardware eventually needs attention, the crew that aimed it comes back to it.
